Dem Senator: Obama Still Has No Strategy for Syria

On Wednesday, Senate Foreign Relations Committee member Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) told Yahoo News that President Barack Obama still has no clear strategy in Syria despite the 50 special forces U.S troops he announced last week he is sending to Syria.

Kaine said, “They’ve got to put a credible Syria strategy on the table. That doesn’t just deal with the ISIL-third of the problem.  They’ve got to put a strategy on the table that deals with the ISIL third of the problem, with the Assad third of the problem, and with the massive humanitarian disaster third of the problem. And they’re just not doing that.”

On whether or not it’s working, Kaine added the administration does have an Iraq strategy but said,  “In Syria, it’s just not really a strategy.”
