McLaughlin: Keystone Opposition ‘Not Merited,’ Motivated By ‘Radical Environmentalism’

“McLaughlin Group” host John McLaughlin criticized the opposition to the Keystone XL pipeline as “not merited” and motivated by “radical environmentalism” on Friday.

McLaughlin said to panelist Eleanor Clift, “the opposition to Keystone XL merited — is not merited. It’s motivated by ideology. The opposition is ideological. And the ideology is radical environmentalism, Eleanor.”

Clift responded, “And go for it, because now, there are lots of other targets ahead. So, if you want to call it radicalism and ideological radicalism, go right ahead. But the climate movement has been energized, and that’s a good thing for all of us, and for the planet.”
