Jeb: Obama Is Being ‘Literally Petulant’ on Syrian Refugees

Tuesday on “New Hampshire Today” with host Jack Heath, while discussing the United States accepting Syrian refugees, Republican presidential candidate and former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-FL) said President Barack Obama is being “literally petulant” by refusing “to explain to the American people what the procedures are so our fears could be calm.”

Bush said, “The president has been literally petulant about this. I don’t understand why he wouldn’t want to explain to the American people what the procedures are so our fears could be calm.”

He added, “I do believe in these cases—and I’ve used the example of Syrian Christians that are, but for the United States and but for the world community, they’ll be slaughtered, beheaded, raped, pillaged, because of their faith. I think we have a moral obligation to support them. You can tell when someone is a Christian in the Middle East I can promise you that. By name, by where they’re born, their birth certificates. There are ample means by which to know this. I think we have an obligation to take some refugees, but after a thorough review of the policies that appear to me to be pretty lax.”
