PP Board Member: Women Have ‘Fewer Rights’ in Some States Than They Did 50-60 Years Ago

Planned Parenthood board member Alexis McGill Johnson suggested Saturday on MSNBC while discussing the Colorado Springs shooting that in some states, women have “fewer rights” now than they did 50-60 years ago.

“We have to be figuring how the why women’s health is under attack in such an intense way. [Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards] talks all the time about having grown up in Texas that there are states now that have fewer rights for women than we had just, you know, 50, 60 years ago. So the idea we are reverting and creating these very horrible environments for our providers, it’s really, really horrible.”
