Jeb: Trump ‘a Really Capable Politician,’ ‘Just Not Qualified to Be President’

On Wednesday’s “Happening Now” on the Fox News Channel, former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-FL), a candidate for the GOP’s 2016 presidential nomination, sounded off on his campaign and touted his credentials as being why he would be the most qualified to be the Republican presidential nominee.

Host Jon Scott asked Bush about his party’s front-runner Donald Trump, to which Bush downplayed his opponent’s qualifications, particularly on foreign policy.

“Donald Trump is a really capable politician,” Bush said. “He’s just not qualified to be president. If you listen to him talk as it relates to ISIS or Syria he is not a serious person. He gets his information from websites, I guess, and watches the shows on Sunday and spews out such that is so confusing that at the end of the day people going to want to know who is going to sit behind a big desk. Who can make these tough decisions? Who can lead our country towards a place where we are more secure and have a growing economy? And I think when we get to that point in this stage of the campaign I’m going to fare pretty well and Donald Trump won’t.”

“He’s not qualified to be commander-in-chief and leader of the free world,” Bush added.
