Kurtz: WaPo’s ‘Over the Line’ Depiction of Cruz Received ‘Little Media Outrage,’ Attacks on Dem Kids Received More

On Wednesday’s “Special Report,” Fox News Channel “Media Buzz” host Howard Kurtz stated there is “little media outrage” over the Washington Post‘s depiction of Republican presidential candidate and Texas Senator Ted Cruz’s children as monkeys in a cartoon compared to the uproar over past depictions and criticisms of the children of Democrats.

Kurtz said, “What if this had been President Obama’s daughters? When Congressional aide Elizabeth Lauten criticized Sashia and Malia at last year’s Thanksgiving turkey pardon for their dress and demanded they show a little class, she lost her job. During the Monica Lewinsky uproar, People magazine was widely criticized for publishing a cover story on Chelsea Clinton, despite a personal appeal from Bill and Hillary Clinton. But little media outrage over the Cruz daughters, even as their dad sent out an emergency million dollar fundraising appeal, accusing the liberal media of trying to destroy him and his family.”
