Sunday on NBC’s ‘Meet the Press,” guest host Andrea Mitchell said Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was doing a good impression of comedian Bobby Moynihan’s drunk uncle character on “Saturday Night Live”
After playing a clip of Trump criticizing reporters Mitchell said, “Have you ever seen Donald Trump and the drunk uncle on Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update together? That was a pretty good imitation.”
She then once again liken Trump to segregationist Gov. George Wallace adding, “To the serious point of the level of invective, I haven’t seen his, frankly, since the George Wallace campaign where attacks on the media at rallies, you know, really were one of the signature effects.”
