On Saturday, the Internet went nuts over “Watermelon Boy,” a young fan who was caught on TV during an Australian cricket match chowing down on a watermelon the size of his head as if it it was an apple.
Once video and pictures of “Watermelon Boy” emerged, the boy became an internet sensation and hero.

It turns out, the boy is the son of Australian sports reporter Tony Schibeci, who has been updating the world on his now Internet famous son via Twitter.

Schibeci even posted a photo of “Watermelon Boy” as he slept alongside his mostly-eaten watermelon by his side.
