Thursday, while on the campaign trail for his wife Hillary Clinton’s presidential bid in Cedar Rapids, IA, former President Bill Clinton was confronted by NBC News’ Kirsten Welker and asked to respond to attacks from Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump over his “past transgressions.”
“Donald Trump is again today making an issue of your past transgressions,” Welker asked. “Do you want to respond? And are you worried that your past will hurt your wife’s campaign?”
“I don’t have a response,” Clinton said. “If he wins the Republican nomination we will have plenty of time to talk about it.
“I have no interest in getting involved in politics or doing anything except trying to help Hillary,” Clinton added
