Ronda Rousey Contemplated Suicide After Losing to Holly Holm

UFC women’s champion Ronda Rousey appeared on NBC’s “Ellen DeGeneres Show” Tuesday and spoke on her 2015 loss to Holly Holm, which put an end to her undefeated record.

Rousey told host Ellen DeGeneres that she took the loss to Holm hard.

“In the medical room, I was down in the corner, I was sitting in the corner and I was like ‘what am I anymore if I’m not this? And I was literally sitting there and thinking about killing myself in that exact second, I’m nothing. Like what do I do anymore? And no one gives a s— about me anymore without this.”

She admitted what kept her from taking her life was looking up and seeing her boyfriend, Travis Browne, and knowing she needed to “have his babies.”

Rousey later added, “I really do believe I’m still undefeated because being defeated is a choice. Everyone always has losses in their life but I choose to always be undefeated.”
