Christie Attacks Rubio on Senate Attendance: ‘POTUS Is Not a No-Show Job’

At a Saturday Donald Trump rally in Bentonville, AR, Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) put Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) on blast over his Senate attendance.

According to Christie, Rubio “doesn’t work much at all,” and missed “60 percent of all the meetings in the foreign relations committee,” “85 percent of the meetings as Senator” and “80 percent of the meetings of the commerce committee.”

“Since he’s been in the Senate, he’s missed 68 percent of all of the committee meetings he’s been assigned to,” Christie said. “Hey Marco, show up for work for the American people!”

He added, “One message to Sen. Rubio, wherever you are right now – unlike the United States Senate, President of the United States is not a no-show job, so you’re not qualified.”

Christie went on to promote Trump’s ability to create jobs, saying he is the “only person in this race that’s created jobs.”
