Trump: Romney Would Have Dropped to His Knees to Get My Endorsement

Thursday in response to former Gov. Mitt Romney (R-UT) speech addressing his concerns with the 2016 Republican presidential race, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said Mitt Romney “would have dropped to his knees” to get his endorsement.

Trump said, “Mitt is a failed candidate. He failed. He failed horribly. He failed badly. That was a race that should have been won. I don’t know what happened to him. He disappeared. He disappeared. And I’ll be honest because I’m not an fan of Barack Obama. And that was a race that I backed Mitt Romney. I backed him. You can see how loyal he is. He was begging for my endorsement. I could have said, Mitt, drop to your knees. He would have dropped to his knees. He was begging. True. He was begging me.”
