CNN’s Bell: ‘Leaning Into Racism,’ To ‘Pretend,’ You’re Not ‘Benefiting From Racism and White Supremacy’

CNN’s “United Shades of America” host W. Kamau Bell argued that it’s “leaning into racism” to “pretend like you’re not actually benefiting from racism and white supremacy” on Thursday’s broadcast of CBS’ “The Late Show.”

Bell said, “I think the minute you try to pretend, especially as a white person in this country, you try to pretend like you’re not actually benefiting from racism and white supremacy, the minute you try to — sort of exempt yourself from that, you’re starting to — you’re leaning into racism.”
