Fox News Channel’s Bret Baier asked the Dalai Lama in an interview that aired Wednesday if he had ever seen the popular 1980s movie “Caddyshack.”
The question threw off the Tibetian spiritual leader, who replied, “What? I don’t know.”
The Dalai Lama then told Baier that he does not play golf.
In “Caddyshack,” Bill Murray playing the role of greenskeeper Carl Spackler tells a story about when he traveled to Tibet and caddied for the “big-hitter” himself, Dalai Lama.
