In a preview clip from NBC’s “Nightly News,” Lester Holt questioned presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump over his objections to presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s controversial use of an unsecured private email server during her tenure as secretary of state that is currently under FBI investigation.

Partial transcript as follows:

HOLT: You claim that her email, personal email server had been hacked probably by foreign governments, suggesting that…

TRUMP: Well you don’t know that it hasn’t been.

HOLT: …suggesting that she would be compromised as president. What evidence do you have?

TRUMP: First of all, she shouldn’t have had a personal server, OK? She shouldn’t have had it. It’s illegal. What she did is illegal. Now she might not be judged that way but we have a rigged system. What she did was illegal. She shouldn’t have had a personal server.

HOLT: Is there any evidence it was hacked?

TRUMP: I think I read that and heard it.

HOLT: Where?

TRUMP: Somebody also gave me that information. I will report back to you.
