Report: Obama Has ‘Discussed’ Owning NBA Franchise

Friday on ESPN’s “SportsCenter,” it was reported that White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said earlier this week that President Barack Obama has “discussed” being part of an ownership group for an NBA franchise once his time as president comes to an end.

Obama told GQ Magazine in 2015 that he has an interest in NBA ownership.

“I have fantasized about being able to put together a team and how much fun that would be,” he told Bill Simmons in the GQ interview. “I think it’d be terrific.”
