Wednesday told on Fox News, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s running mate Indiana Gov. Mike Pence (R-IN) said while Trump has not endorsed Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI) in his primary race he did “strongly encourage,” Pence to support his long time friend.
Pence said, “I strongly support Paul Ryan. I endorse his reelection. He is a long time friend. He is a strong conservative leader.”
He added, “I talked to Donald Trump this morning about my support for Paul Ryan and our long time friendship. He strongly encouraged me to endorses Paul Ryan in next Tuesday primary and I’m pleased to do it.”
