Bill Maher said that the Republican Party’s base is ” a bunch of fact-free, racist rednecks” on Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher.”
Maher said, “I said on the show about a week ago, maybe one of our convention shows, that yes, when the Republican Party picked Donald Trump as the nominee, they handcuffed themselves to a dead hooker. But, the dead hooker is not really Trump. It’s the voters. It’s the Republican voters. They’re still with him. that’s the problem even you have, in the Republican Party. Because your base is a bunch of fact-free, racist rednecks. That’s what the base of the Republican Party is.”
