Kentucky Baby Caught on Video Being Thrown From Car in Crash

Police in Kentucky released footage of a February car crash that threw a seven-month-old baby out as the car rolled on the side of the highway.

Fox 4 reports the baby is OK now, but was in critical condition following the crash.

“The baby came out and landed on the rocks, so the gentleman picked it up, and he couldn’t believe number one he said: that the baby was alive and that he was physically and mentally distraught after seeing that occur right in front of him,” said Lt. Rich Whitford of the Fort Thomas Police Department.

The crash killed the driver of the car, who was high on heroin at the time.

Police are still on the hunt for the baby’s parents, 34-year-old Amanda Thomas and 42-year-old Billy Lee Jones, who were also in the car at the time of the crash.

Investigators received blood test results that showed both Thomas and Jones were also on heroin.

“We’ve been trying to call and going there trying to find them. There’s a warrant. There’s a $50,000 bond, so if they do see this, call. Call the Fort Thomas Police, or turn yourself in at this time,” Whitford said via Fox 4.

The baby’s parents have both been charged with criminal abuse.
