Newt Gingrich: ‘Only Way to Describe’ Bill and Hillary Clinton Is ‘They’re Grifters’

Friday on “Fox & Friends,” former House Speaker Newt Gingrich reacted to the Politico report that former President Bill Clinton aides used tax dollars to subsidize the Clinton Foundation and to support Hillary Clinton’s private email server by calling the couple “grifters” because they use public trust and public money and lie about it.

“One of the things that really struck me that makes this so hard is Bill and Hillary are — the only way to describe them is they’re grifters,” Gingrich stated. “These are people that show up at movies who lie to everybody, steal from everybody. And if you think of them as grifters you sort of get it. Here was a pot of money, why not take it? Oh, it happens to be illegal. Well, nobody will notice. If they do notice that’s why we have lawyers, we’ll simply lie about it. So here you have day after day after day in –in a normal, healthy society they would be ostracized for being so such totally unpatriotic scammers who go around using public trust and using public money and then lying about it pathetically.”
