NJ Congressman: Bombing Suspect Contacted My Office To Get His Wife Into US From Pakistan, I Assume She Got In US

On Monday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “MTP Daily,” Representative Albio Sires (D-NJ) said that New York and New Jersey bombing suspect Ahmad Rahami contacted his office in 2014 because he wanted his wife to enter into the US from Pakistan, and that he assumes Rahami’s wife did come to the US.

Sires said, “Rahami contacted my office in the year 2014 because he wanted his wife to come from Pakistan.”

When asked if his wife got to the US, Sires answered, “I assume she did. At the time, she was pregnant, and the — in Pakistan they told her that she could not come over until she had the baby, but she had to get a visa for the baby. He was kind of nasty too.”
