Scarborough: ‘I Think You’re Going to See a Bounce Back of Trump’

Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski questioned the methodology of an NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll that was timed to coincide with the height of GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump’s controversy involving a 2005 “Access Hollywood” tape of him making lewd remarks about female, but ceased before a debate where Trump arguably did much better.

With that in mind, Scarborough predicted that Trump won’t make up all of the 14 points he trails his opponent Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, but he will make it tighter before the election.

“I don’t know if Haley Barbour said it, but he should have said it,” Scarborough said. “There’s another dictum that I go by – you’re never as bad as they say you are and you’re never as good as you think you are.”

“[I] believe and I could be totally wrong – I think you’re going to see a bounce back of Trump,” he added. “It’s not going to be 14 points. It’s just not. It’s going to get tighter.”
