Trump: ‘I Will Totally Accept the Result of This Great and Historic Presidential Election — If I Win’

Thursday in Delaware, OH, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump addressed the controversy over his debate answer about accepting the election results by saying, “I will totally accept the results of this great and historic presidential election. If I win.”

Trump said, “Ladies and gentlemen, I want to make a major announcement today. I would like to promise and pledge to all of my voters and supporters and to all of the people of the United States, that I will totally accept the results of this great and historic presidential election. If I win. [ audience cheering ] All right. Seriously, the debate last night was amazing. And everybody said I won. Including every single online poll, and some had it at 90% and close to 90% so that’s pretty close. The question of voter fraud came up during the debate. We want fairness in the election. This is having nothing to do with me, but having to do with the future of our country. We have to have fairness.”
