Fmr DNC Chair and Clinton Supporter Rendell: Comey ‘Had To’ Notify Congress About Clinton Email Update

On Tuesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” former Pennsylvania Governor and DNC Chair Ed Rendell, who is supporting Democratic presidential nominee former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, stated that FBI Director James Comey “had to” inform Congress he was taking a second look into Clinton’s emails, but should have added that no inference should be drawn from that action.

Rendell said Comey “had to do what he had to do because of the leaks, but what he didn’t do, and he should have done is, he should have put a sentence in that letter that says, look, we haven’t had a chance to review these emails. No one should infer anything from this action other than we are doing our job.”
