Sharpton Warns Dems ‘Go After’ Trump’s Nominees or We Will ‘Deal With You’

Wednesday on the “Tom Joyner Morning Show,” while discussing the mistrial in the case of  a South Carolina officer who shot Walter Scott after traffic stop and if President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for attorney general, Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), will continue with a federal prosecution of the case, Al Sharpton said this is cause for Democrats to have “backbone” during the Trump administration’s confirmation hearings, just like the Republicans “went after all of President Obama’s nominees.”

While promoting a march he is organizing in Washington D.C. on Dr. Martin Luther King Day, Sharpton said, “It is imperative people stand up and say to the Democrats, in the name of Dr. King that Saturday, you have got to show backbone, just like they went after all of President Obama’s nominees, you need to go after theirs or we are going to go deal with you.”
