Tuesday on MSNBC’s “MTP Daily,” host Chuck Todd gave President-elect Donald Trump praise for his tweets criticizing the now-defeated attempt of congressional Republicans to weaken the Office of Congressional Ethics.
Todd said it was as an “effective shaming” with Trump’s tweet.
With all that Congress has to work on, do they really have to make the weakening of the Independent Ethics Watchdog, as unfair as it

Todd said, “Now Trump didn’t say he was for this office, he just said, what are you prioritizing here? But it was — it was actually a more effective shaming, I think.”
Todd continued,”What’s interesting here, and this is where Trump — I’m going to quote Chris Matthews — he’s got the best ear in politics. He’s not stupid. He knew where this was headed,” adding,”it was a actually a very mature way of handling it.”
