On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher,” host Bill Maher argued that trying to shut people up on college campuses “is a problem on the left that we need to deal with,” During a discussion of the riot at the University of California-Berkeley that forced the cancellation of Breitbart Editor Milo Yiannopoulos’ speech earlier in the week.
Maher said, “I’ve been a longtime critic of colleges shutting people up. That is a problem on the left that we need to deal with, very much so. Free speech should be something we own.”
