While speaking to reporters on Thursday, House Freedom Caucus member Representative Justin Amash (R-MI) responded to President Trump’s criticisms of the HFC by saying that “Most people don’t take well to being bullied.” And “it may allow a child to get his way, but that’s not how our government works.”

Amash said, “Most people don’t take well to being bullied.” He added, in response to a question on whether he thought this was a constructive way to negotiate, “I mean, it’s constructive in 5th grade, but — it may allow a child to get his way, but that’s not how our government works.”
