Tuesday on Capitol Hill at a press conference, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said there will be no negotiation with President Donald Trump on a U.S.-Mexico border wall.
Schumer said, “Senator McConnell wanted me to negotiate the wall with President Trump. I said to him two things. First, it’s not a negotiation, no wall. And second I said only you can persuade him that he shouldn’t do the wall because it will cause a government shutdown.”
He added, “Look Democrats have always been for border security. We just think the wall made no sense.”
