Report: Obama Said New York Times, Fox News ‘Fulfilling the Bias of the Audience They Have’

On Friday’s broadcast of CNN’s “OutFront,” former Hollywood Reporter Editor Janice Min, who attended a private gathering with former President Obama on Thursday, reported that Obama stated Fox News and the New York Times “are fulfilling the bias of the audience they have.”

Min said that at the event Obama “seemed very consumed by the polarization of media. He talked about fake news. And he said — he invoked Fox News and the New York Times in particular, and he said if I were — you have Fox News, you have the New York Times. If you’re consumers of those — of that media, you are just basically fulfilling — those outlets are fulfilling the bias of the audience they have.”
