Dem Sen Feinstein: ‘Very Serious’ If Trump Fired Comey Because He Was Worried About Investigation

Dianne Feinstein

Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” Senate Judiciary Committee ranking member Sen. Diane Feinstein (D-CA) said if President Donald Trump fired former FBI Director James Comey because he was concerned about the results of the investigation into Russia meddling in the 23016 presidential election that was  “very serious.”

Feinstein, “The big fact is, did the president fire Comey because of his investigation and he was worried about what the investigation might conclude. That if so, that borders on a very serious charge. So we need to flush that out and see what the response is and it’s got to come from director Comey himself.”
