Krauthammer: London Attacks ‘About Radical Islam,’ ‘a Failure of Assimilation’

Monday on Fox News Channel’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer reacted to the terror attack in London that happened over the weekend.

Krauthammer dismissed the media focus on President Donald Trump’s tweets reacting to those attacks and said the real story was about radical Islam.

“Look, you are always going to have lunatic voices on the left. Some will get expression on cable TV,” he said. “But generally speaking, this is not, look, there are a lot of stories about the lunacy on the Left. The suppression of speech on campus, the rioting, the sort of antifascist so-called rioting. If somebody dare say things politically correct. That is all true, those are real stories, they are to be covered. But the London attack is not really a media story, it’s not a political correctness story.”

“It is a story about Islamic radicalism,” he continued. “And the tragedy here is, President is sort of right in talking about immigration. But the point he is missing is that the problem was immigration 30 years ago. We are 30 years late. The Paris was 30 years old. This was a failure, and generally is a failure of assimilation, integration of these immigrants by mostly Europeans over the last 30 years, which is why it is not amenable to solution.”
