Tuesday on ESPN’s “SportsCenter: Coast to Coast,” senior NBA writer for ESPN’s The Undefeated Marc Spears said he would be “shocked” if any Golden State Warriors visit President Donald Trump at the White House to celebrate their championship over the Cleveland Cavaliers because the team is “pretty woke.”

According to Spears, Warriors forwards Draymond Green and David West told him they would not be going, and an unnamed source within the team said they would be “surprised” if any players went.

“The Warriors just put out a statement saying no decision has been made, but I talked to Draymond Green last night. He said he wasn’t going. David West said he wasn’t going. And I also got a text from somebody else within the team that said they would be surprised if any of the players went. Who knows when that date will be, but this has been a team that, you know, is pretty woke, especially their coach. I would be shocked if he attended. He has been about as hard on the president as anybody,” Spears said.

Warriors owner Joe Lacob said earlier on ESPN’s “First Take” that they had yet to make a decision regarding a trip to the White House.
