During a video released to her Twitter account on Thursday, Representative Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) reacted to President Trump’s tweets about MSNBC hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski by stating that Trump should resign and we can’t wait the length of time impeachment proceedings take.
Jackson Lee said, “I don’t know what to say. There’s a sense of hurt feelings. Mr. President, bleeding from the face? You’re again, attacking women, professional women. You’re calling someone a ‘psycho’. With all of the individuals fighting for their lives, suffering from mental health needs. You’re attacking a woman, a professional woman, about her IQ. Someone who has shown herself professionally, as an anchor, as many of us do in this life. When the question of beauty is so sensitive, and that beauty should be from the inside. Mr. President, when people are struggling to have health care, who need mental health services, and your Trumpcare denies billions of dollars to Medicaid to help them. And you spend your time in the morning, dealing with, attacking human beings that happen to be Americans and happen to be the media.”
She continued, “Let me tell you something Mr. President, I’ve gone through, as a member of the Judiciary Committee, impeachments. But we can’t wait that long. It is time for you to resign. Enough is enough.”
