Fox Sports 1’s Colin Cowherd launched a campaign Thursday on “The Herd” for University of Alabama football head coach Nick Saban to be president in 2020.

“Trump’s on shaky ground, Kristine, so I am thinking about who is going to be president in 2020,” Cowherd stated. “I’d like to offer this man as president of the United States: Nick Saban for president in 2020.”

“I think he’s more honest than our current president. I think he has great vision. Nick Saban for president of the United States in 2020,” he added.

Cowherd explained that Saban’s vision makes him a great candidate because he went on ESPN Wednesday to say “Power 5” college football teams should not play teams from lesser conferences.

Cowherd later proposed Saban’s running mate could be either former Alabama offensive coordinator and now Florida Atlantic University head coach Lane Kiffin or Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).
