Carlson: ESPN Moving Robert Lee From Calling UVA Game Shows How ‘Hysterical, Reactionary and Stupid’ the Left Has Become

Wednesday, Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson reacted to ESPN pulling Robert Lee, an Asian, from the broadcast team for the upcoming University of Virginia football game because of concerns of ridicule over the similarity between his name and Confederate General Robert E. Lee.

“Even in the middle of the cultural revolution now in progress in this country, the left hasn’t become this hysterical and reactionary and stupid, we figured. Oh, but we were wrong,” said Carlson.

Carlson said not only is this story “absurd,” but he added it is “cruel” what ESPN has now put Lee through.

“How mean is it to this guy Robert Lee in the end?” he argued. “They’re not protecting him, they exposed him to ridicule, they made him famous in the worst way and they prevented him from calling a game because of his name. It’s cruel.”
