On Tuesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” co-host Joe Scarborough argued that President Trump’s run for office was simply a scheme to make money and Trump never thought he would win.
During a discussion of a Washington Post story on Michael Cohen emailing Putin’s spokesperson about a Trump Tower project in Moscow, Scarborough said, “Donald Trump never thought he was going to win. This was all a money-making scam. He thought Jeb Bush was going to beat him. He never thought — so he was going to…take the money and run. So, let me use the position I’m in right now and try to get that tower in Moscow.”
