While speaking at the Federal Emergency Management Agency headquarters in Washington, D.C. Sunday, Vice President Mike Pence urged the people in Hurricane Irma’s path to heed the warnings of state officials to properly prepare for the incoming storm.
“This is a very dangerous storm,” Pence warned. “This is a life-threatening storm.”
He added, “We can rebuild cities. We can rebuild buildings. We cannot rebuild lives.”
