Monday in Sacramento, CA, Attorney General Xavier Becerra announced a lawsuit against the Trump administration for “its unconstitutional and illegal termination” of the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA).
California has the largest number of DACA recipients with approximately 200,000 residents benefiting from the program.
Becerra was joined in his suit by the Attorneys General of Maryland, Maine, and Minnesota.
