McCain: ‘We Should Not Be Fighting About a Brave American Who Lost His Life Serving His Country’

Monday on ABC’s “The View,” referencing the disputed phone call President Donald Trump made to Sgt. La David Johnson’s widow, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) said, “we should not be fighting about a brave American who lost his life serving his country.”

McCain said, “We’re in very challenging times. I hate to go over what you just covered, but, my friends, we should not be fighting about a brave American who lost his life serving his country. That should not be the topic of discussion in America today.”

He added, “Americans should know what’s going on in Niger. Should know what caused the death of four Americans, should know what America is in engaged in. One of the fights I’m having with the administration is the Armed Services Committee is not getting enough information. They deserve it because we represent their families too.”
