Pirro: ‘We Need to Stop Sending Weapons-Grade Uranium to Our Enemies’

On her Saturday Fox News Channel show “Justice,” Jeanine Pirro warned that the United States of America needs to cease the selling of uranium to other countries so Americans are not “held hostage to people who want to kill us.”

“We don’t need to be vulnerable to Russia, Iran or even North Korea,” Pirro argued. “We don’t need them to leverage us by turning off a supply — the development which we paid for or at assisted in the creation of.”

Pirro explained the importance of uranium in identifying and treating disease, noting how there is “no real production” of Molybdenum‑99 in the United States.

“[W]e need to stop sending weapons-grade uranium to our enemies. You, me and 40 million other Americans for whom nuclear imaging provides the devastating information for the sweet, precious, life-saving relief shouldn’t be held hostage to people who want to kill us,” she stated.
