CNN’s Stelter: We’d Consider Trump’s Tweets ‘Messages From a Person Who Is Not Well’ If They Came From Another Leader

On Tuesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “AC360,” CNN host and Senior Media Correspondent Brian Stelter argued that President Trump’s tweets would be considered messages from someone who isn’t well or fit for office if they came from a leader of another country.

Stelter stated that the president has started the year with “Madness, and I think we should start to call it that, shouldn’t we?”

He then cited writers and elected Republicans who questioned the president’s mental fitness for office before stating, “I think we could apply a test to his 16 tweets today, and the test would be, if this were the leader of Germany or China or Brazil, what would we say? How would we cover these tweets? We would say, ‘These are the messages from a person who is not well, from a leader who is not fit for office.'”
