With rumors swirling that the Oakland (soon to be Las Vegas) Raiders will be hiring ESPN analyst Jon Gruden, Stephen A. Smith accused the team Tuesday on violating the league’s Rooney rule — NFL’s mandate requiring teams to interview minority candidates for head coaching and senior football operation jobs.

“The belief is, Ok, this is going to happen. Any African-American coaches interviewed? I’m sorry … [Y]ou’re violating the Rooney rule. And on top of it all, you’re doing it for who?” Smith asked.
