MSNBC’s Velshi: The NRA Isn’t a ‘Sponsor of Safer Schools’

During Saturday’s MSNBC live broadcast of the March for Our Lives rally, network anchor and admitted gun owner Ali Velshi blasted the National Rifle Association, saying it is not a “sponsor of safer schools and safer streets.”

“[T]hey are not here today,” Velshi told co-host Alex Witt of the NRA. “They are not a sponsor of safer schools and safer streets today and I think that’s important. And I’ve been speaking to gun lobbyists over the last few days and saying, ‘Why not?’”
