On Thursday’s broadcast of the Fox Business Network’s “Countdown to the Closing Bell,” Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin stated that the strategy on Russia sanctions was “refined” after UN Ambassador Nikki Haley announced new sanctions were coming.
Mnuchin said, “We had meetings all last week, at the National Security Council, [which] Nikki and I participated in, on the overall strategy with Syria. We continued to refine the strategy, so, I’m not going to go through the specifics, but we refined the strategy after Nikki made that announcement, between Sunday and — Saturday and Sunday and Monday, we refined the strategy, and we will continue to refine the strategy.”
