Gohmert: Rosenstein Prefers Sources Who ‘Absolutely Hate Donald Trump’

Tuesday on Fox News Channel’s “Outnumbered Overtime,” Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) said Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein didn’t care about a source’s prejudices toward President Donald Trump.

Discussing Columbia Law Professor Daniel Richman who leaked former FBI Director James Comey’s memos, Gohmert said, “It is very clear they want people who hate Donald Trump, that want him to be removed as president, that will do anything, set him up, use false information, whatever. That is the kind of people they prefer. If you don’t absolutely hate Donald Trump and want him removed, Rod Rosenstein doesn’t care about using you for a source. That is what it boils down to. ”

When asked about Rosenstein slow walking Russian investigation records requested by the House Judiciary Committee, he added, “What we have seen in the past and history is the best indicator of things in the future, from the past, anything that may be damaging, they will try to cover up. They will swear that it is going to reveal national secrets, that put lives risk and then once again, when we get the information we find out no lives were at risk only reputation, only potential violations of regulations and the law. Generally they try to cover up anything embarrassing.”
