Kyle Cheney at Politico writes that Ted Cruz “has the momentum” to win New Hampshire after his victory in the Iowa caucuses.

From Politico:

MANCHESTER, N.H.—Now Ted Cruz has to show he can keep it going. After dethroning Donald Trump as the indisputable king of the GOP race with a decisive win in Iowa Monday night, the Texas senator — as well as just about every other candidate in the field — is descending on tiny New Hampshire to make their final appeals before next week’s first-in-the-nation primary.

Buoyed by his come-from-behind victory, Cruz — who feigned limited interest in the state for much of the campaign — could surprise here with a win or, at the least, take a Texas-sized bite out of Trump’s seemingly insurmountable poll lead. Before last night’s outcome, the real estate mogul was averaging 33 percent support to Cruz’s 12 percent, but those figures could now scramble.

Cruz, who hailed his Iowa win as a victory for “courageous conservatives,” is holding a midday rally in Windham before jetting off to Piedmont, S.C., for an evening rally. Trump, who took on a subdued tone Monday night as he congratulated Cruz, has a more low-key schedule, holding one rally of his own tonight in Milford, New Hampshire.
