5 Times Hillary and Bernie Pandered to Blacks During the Last Debate

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Senator Bernie Sanders (Socialist-Loonbagia) have now determined that their best strategy for defeating Republicans relies on ridiculous, overt pandering to black Americans.

With Donald Trump preparing to sew up the Republican nomination, both of the Democrats have doubled down on President Obama’s strategy of racial polarization for political gain.

Here were the top five examples during last night’s “debate”:

Hillary Disowns Her Husband’s Anti-Crime Legacy. Don Lemon of CNN asked Hillary about the high rates of black incarceration in the United States. Instead of replying that perhaps the best solution for incarceration is – get this – committing less crimes, Hillary replied that the criminal justice system was infused with institutional racism. Designed by her husband. But it wasn’t his fault. Or something. Here’s what she said:

[Bill] said at the NAACP that there were some aspects that worked well. The violence against women provisions have worked well, for example. But, other aspects of it were a mistake and I agree. That’s why I’m focused, and have a very comprehensive approach toward fixing the criminal justice system, going after systemic racism that stalks the criminal justice system, ending private prisons, ending the incarceration of low-level offenders, and I am committed to doing that.

The fact is that subsequent to the 1994 Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act, the massive crime wave that began in the late 1960s tamped down dramatically, saving countless black lives in the process.

Hillary Pushes The Sandra Bland and Trayvon Martin Lies. Hillary was asked by Lemon about her “racial blind spot.” This was code for “tell me a story about your evil white privilege.” So Hillary did. She explained:

I think it’s incumbent upon me and what I have been trying to talk about during this campaign is to urge white people to think about what it is like to have “the talk” with your kids, scared that your sons or daughters, even, could get in trouble for no good reason whatsoever like Sandra Bland and end up dead in a jail in Texas. And I have spent a lot of time with the mothers of African-American children who have lost them, Trayvon Martin’s mother. And I’ve gotten to know them. I’ve listened to them. And it has been incredibly humbling because I can’t pretend to have the experience that you have had and others have had.

Sandra Bland committed suicide in police custody. She was not murdered. Trayvon Martin died after being shot under disputed circumstances by George Zimmerman; the evidence showed he was pounding Zimmerman’s head on the pavement at the time. Zimmerman was not a member of law enforcement or the criminal justice system.

Bernie’s Delusional Take On Poverty. Asked about his racial blind spot, here’s what Bernie said:

When you’re white, you don’t know what it’s like to be living in a ghetto. You don’t know what it’s like to be poor. You don’t know what it’s like to be hassled when you walk down the street or you get dragged out of a car. And I believe that as a nation in the year 2016, we must be firm in making it clear. We will end institutional racism and reform a broken criminal justice system.

As I wrote at Daily Wire today, this is tripe:

Fully 40.2 percent of food stamp recipients are white, while 25.7 percent are black. While black people have a higher per capita poverty rate than white people, there are more whites living below the poverty line than blacks. Over 55 percent of black children live outside areas with concentrated poverty. And the single greatest predictor of poverty isn’t race, it’s single motherhood: according to a 2014 Harvard study, “the strongest and most robust predictor [of economic mobility] is the fraction of children with single parents.” That percentage has risen dramatically for American blacks, from less than 20 percent of black children born to single mothers in the 1950s to well above 70 percent now. No word from Sanders on why this has anything to do with a three-fold increase in institutional racism in the post-Civil Rights Era period.

Bernie Pushes Police Department Racial Quotas. Asked to pander some more, Sanders complied readily, prattling off a list of what he’d like to do:

I would develop model programs to make police departments look like the communities that they serve. I would end minimal sentencing and give judges more discretion. I would recognize that substance abuse and drug addiction is a health issue, not a criminal issue. And I would make sure that those people who left jail had the education and job training so they don’t go back into the same environment which got them in jail in the first place.

This is horse manure piled on horse manure. The Baltimore Police Department is majority black. That didn’t stop citizens from rioting. Minimal sentencing keeps offenders in jail longer. That’s a good idea, given that offenders go back to crime regularly; job training and education don’t cure recidivism. As Barry Latzer writes in The Rise and Fall of Violent Crime in America:

A fifteen-state sample of prisoners released in 1994 found that 30 percent of them were rearrested within six months of release, and 11 percent were reconvicted. After three years, two-thirds of released inmates were arrested again, 47 percent reconvicted. The latter were charged with 744,480 new crimes, over 100,00 of which were violent.

As to the notion that substance abuse and drug addiction are a health issue rather than a criminal one, few disagree – but distributing drugs is a criminal issue, not a health one. Less than one percent of all people in prisons across America are in prison for possession of marijuana alone, for example.

Hillary Apologizes For Talking About “Super Predators.” Lemon asked Hillary about describing drug cartel members as “super predators.” Hillary promptly complied, saying it was a “poor choice of words.” Because of course she did.

Trump or any other Republican candidate may never have to worry about beating either Hillary or Sanders. They might political correctness each other to death first – that is, if they aren’t too busy doing it to black Americans.
