CLEVELAND, Ohio — Republican nominee Donald Trump’s adviser on veterans issues Al Baldasaro, a veteran and New Hampshire state representative, tells Breitbart News that the “Never Trump” Republicans need to put America first.
“The GOP is coming together as one team,” Baldasaro stated outside the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio on Tuesday afternoon. “We got a few cats and dogs that still got their feelings hurt because their candidates lost. I tell them, ‘Get their heads out of their butt, get focused and put America first!'”
On Monday, former Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli and Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) took part in an effort on the floor of the convention to force a vote that would have changed the Republican Party rules — in what was viewed as a last ditch effort to stop Trump from reaching the 1,237 delegate vote threshold needed to officially clinch the nomination.
