Conservative blogger Jim Hoft told Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Stephen K. Bannon today that Donald Trump “let Ted cruz dig his own political grave” last night by allowing him to go forward with a speech as agreed, one that Trump had seen beforehand.
“The people were booing, he’s smiling on stage looking like a complete ass and then he takes a jab at the New York delegation. What a low blow,” added Hoft.
The comments came in a joint Breitbart News Daily interview with Republican politician and activist Gary Bauer. Both agreed that Cruz’s use of the phrase “vote your conscience” was code taken directly from Never Trump efforts to disrupt the convention, pointing out that Hillary Clinton was quick to retweet the phrase in a Tweet to take a swipe at Republican nominee Donald Trump.

Bauer said of Ted Cruz, “If he thought this would help him he’s dead wrong. This is the equivalent of setting yourself on fire. It’s going to take some incredible event we can’t foresee right now for him to have a political future in my view.”
Bauer made the remarks during a joint Breitbart News Daily interview with blogger Jim Hoft, who pointed out that Trump was aware of the speech beforehand and “let ted cruz dig his own political grave.” Hoft also praised Trump as a leader for letting the speech go forward as he had committed to do.
